Photos Video and Articles on first Phoenix Arizona Metro Light Rail Accident
The first light rail train accident happened in Phoenix Arizona today. The car of a 78 year old woman colided with the train with minor damage to the train and damage to the car seen in the photo below:
The accident happened at 24th Street and Phoenix in the early morning. Initial police comments indicate the woman may be at fault. She did not go to the hospital at first but later did as a precaution although did not receive any major injury. This is the first such accident and was met with a swarm of police such as Sgt. Tommy Thompson and officials as well as a media circus.
