SHRM Members. The organization membership of the SHRM is individually based. It is inclusive of all professionals who are related to Human Resources at all the stages of their individual career. In addition, it also includes a large number of subspecialties related to career. More than 40 % of the members of SHRM comprise of people having the post equivalent to that of Director and above. More than 50 % of the people work in agencies having nearly 500 employees. 35 % of the people are in the industry related to manufacturing. SHRM was previously known as the “American Society for Personnel Administrationâ€.
