Employees Telecommuting and Employee Turnover

Employees Telecommuting has long been a very controversial topic. It certainly takes a certain type of job and a certain type of employee to successfully and efficiently work from home. With that said supervisors and business owners are foolish for not offering telecommuting more often. Telecommuting creates a high level of employee satisfaction. As long as the work gets done on time who cares where the employee is located or when they work? The cost of replacing an employee is 3 times their annual salary with lost productivity, hiring costs, and training costs. What is a few or no lost hours in productivity compared to a happy employee and not having to replace them.
