The Benefit of using Star Office 8. Star Office 8 is a completely free version of office. I like to download it through the Google pack. Star Office is completely compatable with Microsoft Office and provides a word processor, excel functionality, a presentation software, draw, and more. Again it is free if downloaded through the Google Pack. If you are stupid you can buy it from Sun.com for $69.95 which is really cheap. I guess technically OpenOffice.org is what delivers the free applications.
